Terms and Conditions for Participation
This document defines the terms & conditions for players to participate in the Swiss IeSF Qualifier,
hereafter called ‘qualifier’, to participate in the 9th Esports World Championship, hereafter called ‘world
championship’ or ‘WC’.

WC World Championship; The 9th Esports World Championship taking place in Busan (Korea) November 8 – 12 2017.
Only players who are Belgian citizens, i.e. hold a Belgian passport, are eligible to participate in the qualifier. Players with any other residence status in Belgium, are expressly not eligible to participate in the qualifier.
2. Qualifier Rules
Participants must read, understand and agree to the rules for the qualifier defined by the organizers of such qualifier.
3. Anti‐Doping Regulations
The player must read, understand and accept the Anti‐Doping Regulations of the IeSF as there are stated on the website of the IeSF (Link: http://ie‐sf.com/en/regulation/regulation2.php). It is responsibility of the players, who are undergoing medication as part of a medical treatment, to verify whether their medication is on the list of prohibited substances and/or methods, and if yes, to proceed in accordance with the regulation, and contact the board of the BeSF.
4. Competition Regulations
The player must read, understand and accept the Competition Regulations of the IeSF as they are stated on the website of the IeSF (Link: http://ie‐sf.com/en/regulation/regulation3.php). Updates to the IeSF Competition Regulations regarding the WC will be shared with the players when published by the IeSF.
5. WC Participation & Availability
The players who win the qualifier will represent Belgium in the WC. Players must guarantee a minimal availability for participation in the WC for the period of November 6‐13 2017. The BeSF will offer support in acquiring a dispensation from school/work/military when necessary.
6. Legal Age for Participation
The players who win the qualifier and participate in the WC shall be at least 16 years old by the time of the WC.
Players who are not 18 years old by that time must be accompanied by an adult of at least 18 years of age. Such adult may be any other person representing Belgium at the WC who is at least 18 years old. In such case the parent’s consent is required for the player’s participation in the WC. A parent may accompany their child at their own expense.
7. Player Registration for WC
Players must provide all the information asked by the BeSF, required by the IeSF, in a timely manner such that the registration of that player for the WC can completed prior to the deadline defined by the IeSF.
8. Travel Documents
It is the player’s responsibility to inform themselves regarding documents they need to have for travelling to the WC (e.g. valid passport, valid visa, etc.).
9. Covered Expenses for WC
The players qualifying for the WC will not have to pay for accommodation during the period of the WC. Also, the IeSF and the host of the WC typically provide local transportation as well
as a catering. Additional expenses that are not covered by the IeSF or host of the WC, such as visa fees, additional meals, transportation, accommodation, etc., must be carried by the player.
The players qualifying for the WC will not have to pay for travel expenses (flights), unless they are covered by the IeSF.
10.Withdrawing from WC Participation
The players who won the qualifier may only withdraw from their participation in the WC when providing an acceptable excuse. It is the IeSF that decides over the acceptability of an excuse.
11.Unexcused Absence from WC
In case of an unexcused absence from the WC, all costs that occurred related to the according player, such as costs for travel arrangements and accommodations, must be refunded to the BeSF and the IeSF by that according player.
When in the context of his/her participation in the WC, the winner of the qualifier represents Belgium and the SeSF, and not his/her regular organisation. For the entire duration of the WC, the players may not wear other team jerseys than the official team jersey of Belgium for that WC.
The player’s regular organisation may promote that their player(s) are playing for the Belgian national team at the WC.
13.Cash Prizes at WC
Cash prizes obtained at the WC will be distributed among the competitors and the BeSF. Cash prizes for specific titles are distributed among each player of that specific game title and the BeSF in equal parts (e.g. in 5v5 titles the players and the BeSF each receive 1/6 of the cash prize; in 1v1 titles the player and the BeSF each receive 1/2 of the cash prize). Cash prizes obtained through the nation ranking are distributed among all players and the BeSF in equal parts (e.g. 12 players and the BeSF each receive 1/13 of the cash prize).
14.Banned CS:GO Players
Players who have received one or multiple bans from VAC, 99Damage, ESL, ESEA, CEVO, FACE IT and similar in the past two years, are not eligible to participate in the qualifier.
15.Non‐Eligible League of Legends Players
Due to the license agreement between Riot Games and the IeSF, players who are featured in the current LCS season or LOL Semi‐Pro Events 2017, such as Challenger Series, are not eligible to
participate in the qualifier.
16.Cases not Covered by these Terms & Conditions
In situations which are not regulated by the terms & conditions herein, the board of the BeSF reserves the right to make decisions on a case by case basis.
17.Changes to the Term & Conditions
The board of the BeSF reserves the right to update the terms & conditions at any given time. Affected players will be informed about the changes via the contact information they provided for their participation in the qualifier.
