They got support in the form of Dylan “Spiroo” Lo Vetere, who is currently Team Manager for french Organisation 3DMAX. Toon „Syther“ Snauwaert has been selected as the team's stand-in. With this Team, the BESF enters the competition with a balanced roster featuring players who have gained valuable experience at both national and international levels. Keoz and Chucky currently compete for GenOne, while Nexius represents Nexus. Together with Ritchie, M1f and stand-in Syther, the squad aims to make Belgium a strong contender on the international stage.
"I feel good about the team. We were able to select some of the best players in Belgium. We also chose to pick firepower and form“, said Head Coach Rupert "Rickertje" Hoop.
The Esports Nations Cup (ENC) is an international tournament where players compete under their national flags rather than for esports organizations. Counter-Strike 2 will make its
ENC debut in 2026, bringing together national teams from around the world to compete for international glory. The main event will take place from November 10–15 2026, following an extensive qualification process involving countries across multiple regions.
The headcoach adds:„For future events we will keep considering all talent and we are following quite some players as we value everyone's development. But for now: full focus on the ENC. It won’t be easy to qualify but we definitely stand a chance with our lineup“
The team has already overcome the first hurdle, with going through the Belgian Qualifier. Next up the Team will encounter 15 other Teams from west Europe, who are fighting for one of four slots for the Main Event. That qualifier will take place upcoming weekend 17-18-19 July through online qualifiers on FaceIt.
The Belgian Esports Federation wishes the entire team and coaching staff the very best as they begin their journey toward representing Belgium on the international stage.
Special thanks to Heidi for stepping up as a coach and Syther to fulfill his role as stand-in during the national qualifiers.
